Megan

Not really worth reading unless you want to see what happens。

Sam Sam

The entire series is a 3。 Not running to read another series by this author。

Melissa

Loved the conclusion to the trilogy。 Wish there would be a book 4!! I loved these characters!

Tanya Robinson

PersevereHappily ever after!!! Great end to an amazing trilogy! So glad I discovered this series and I look forward to readimg。more。of Elin Hilderbrand

Lucia Maschler Barnes

4。5 stars not necessarily for the book but for the series itself - I 💙 EH and her island soap operas!!

Amanda Rohlfing

I’d say it’s a 3。5, but it was definitely slower to read than the first two books of the series。

JoAnn

Weakest of the trilogy, not sure she had 3 books

Jessica Elaine

Great ending to the trilogy。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This was the last in this series, and although I liked book 1 &2, I did not enjoy this one nearly as much。 I felt like too many side plots were going on; with extra characters that were unnecessary。 Especially the last 1/4 of the book- was just too much random things added in。 I also felt that what should have been the “climax”- finding out how Russell Steele was killed and the killer receiving justice- was skimmed over so quickly。 Ultimately fell flat for me。

I enjoyed this trilogy。 Very easy read…predictable but enjoyable! Good beach book! I loved the Iowa City references! Elin even managed to work in a ‘Go Hawks’ reference which made me smile!

Ryan Gregory

Not bad。 Overall it was a good series。 I mean, I did read all three so…I felt like the end of this book was a little rushed。 I mean, a whole book could have been done on just the hurricane really。 And I didn’t love how the boys relationships ended up。 But I did enjoy it still。

Jessica Sazama

It was a good wrap up。

This book is a continuation and ending to the two previous books in the Paradise series。 You need to read those two first。 I read the series because of a trip to Saint John I had planned。 The author name drops lots of real local places, so it was good to have read it before I went。 I actually finished it while in Saint John。 I visited several of the beaches and restaurants mentioned in the the book。 Beach Bar, High Tide, Woody's, Maho Bay, Cinnamon Bay, etc。 They were all great places。 The books This book is a continuation and ending to the two previous books in the Paradise series。 You need to read those two first。 I read the series because of a trip to Saint John I had planned。 The author name drops lots of real local places, so it was good to have read it before I went。 I actually finished it while in Saint John。 I visited several of the beaches and restaurants mentioned in the the book。 Beach Bar, High Tide, Woody's, Maho Bay, Cinnamon Bay, etc。 They were all great places。 The books are just OK。 Story isn't bad, but some characters are irritating。 I'm sure it's a book that most people would enjoy。 It's just not my favorite kind of book。 。。。more

As usual, Hilderbrand does it again。 A captivating story with characters you fall in love with。 I am sorry that this was the end of the Paradise series。 If this doesn't make you want to visit the Virgin Islands, then I don't know what will。 As usual, Hilderbrand does it again。 A captivating story with characters you fall in love with。 I am sorry that this was the end of the Paradise series。 If this doesn't make you want to visit the Virgin Islands, then I don't know what will。 。。。more

The incessant name dropping continued in the final installment of this predictable trilogy。 And the soap opera names of the characters: Ayers, Maia, Huck, Cash, Baker, Tilda, ugh and ugh。 No plot。 No character development。 Waste of time。

This was a good finale to the trilogy。 Lots of questions answered, but some left to readers interpretation。 No major loose ends, and ended feeling like the story was complete。 (Audio)

I didn't like this as much as the first two books, but it was still entertaining。 The loose ends were mostly tied up, and I was satisfied with the ending。 I also liked the Virgin Islands setting, it was nice to have a different location for this series。This isn't my favorite Elin Hilderbrand series, but it was still enjoyable。3。5 Stars** I listened to the audiobooks which were excellent。 Erin Bennett is one of my favorite narrators, she really brought the story to life。 I'm not sure I would have I didn't like this as much as the first two books, but it was still entertaining。 The loose ends were mostly tied up, and I was satisfied with the ending。 I also liked the Virgin Islands setting, it was nice to have a different location for this series。This isn't my favorite Elin Hilderbrand series, but it was still enjoyable。3。5 Stars** I listened to the audiobooks which were excellent。 Erin Bennett is one of my favorite narrators, she really brought the story to life。 I'm not sure I would have enjoy this as much if I'd read it。 。。。more

I enjoyed the conclusion of this trilogy。 I can say I will definitely miss this cast of characters。 I was hoping to have a resolve to the original mystery but the author chose to not dive back into that part of the plot。 This trilogy was a nice, breezy, summer read。

Lindsay

Nice conclusion to the series This was a nice trilogy and good to read about the characters yet again。 Feel like the ending was a bit forced and disconnected, but overall enjoyed it。

Molly Krager

I read all 3 books in the series back-to-back, so by this point I was getting tired of the way businesses on the island were named/described repetitively。 I also thought that the way some of the loose ends were tied up was kind of a stretch。

Sylvia

I loved this book!! Great story!! I loved how all the couples became!! Loved this author’s books books!!

Troubles in Paradise marks the end of the Paradise/Steele family trilogy。 I enjoyed the first two books as we learned the story of Russ Steele, a businessman from Iowa whose secret life and family is exposed after he and his lover perish in a helicopter explosion。News of his death brings his widow and two adult sons to St。 John to start anew。 I feel like the first two books built the story and that book three just threw it all together to tie up lose ends。 The whole last part of the book with th Troubles in Paradise marks the end of the Paradise/Steele family trilogy。 I enjoyed the first two books as we learned the story of Russ Steele, a businessman from Iowa whose secret life and family is exposed after he and his lover perish in a helicopter explosion。News of his death brings his widow and two adult sons to St。 John to start anew。 I feel like the first two books built the story and that book three just threw it all together to tie up lose ends。 The whole last part of the book with the hurricane just seemed like filler。 Still an okay read but not as good as the first two。 。。。more

I would like to give this one 3。5 stars, but since you can't it gets 3。 This was the final book in the Paradise trilogy。 I really liked this one until probably 3/4 of the way through。 Then it seemed like the story got a bit rushed because Hilderbrand wanted to squeeze in the hurricane so it became a bit disjointed for me。 We knew all we needed to know as the hurricane was hitting, so I'm not sure this part was really necessary。 I'm glad Marilyn Monroe (I forgot all about her from the 1st book) w I would like to give this one 3。5 stars, but since you can't it gets 3。 This was the final book in the Paradise trilogy。 I really liked this one until probably 3/4 of the way through。 Then it seemed like the story got a bit rushed because Hilderbrand wanted to squeeze in the hurricane so it became a bit disjointed for me。 We knew all we needed to know as the hurricane was hitting, so I'm not sure this part was really necessary。 I'm glad Marilyn Monroe (I forgot all about her from the 1st book) went with her conscience and told Irene the whole story and in turn ratted out her horrible husband。 Too bad his money spoke though and he got out of deserved time in jail。 I'm also glad Ayers and Baker worked out their issue and that she didn't cave and get back with Mick。 Good little series。 。。。more

There was no need for a trilogy

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 🌟🌟🌟🌟I really enjoyed this series, but I felt like the ending to this book could have been more powerful。 There was a lot of fluff leading up to the storm, but when it happened the story was rushed and there were a lot of open ended story lines。

Nicole Nickerson

4。5* Such a great series! Thanks for the rec steph

Erin

Loved the way this series wrapped - and the Winter series tie in!

Book read for #BookSpinBingo (Litsy) #2021GoalsThis is the third and final book in this trilogy。 I think it started a little bit slow and repetitive in this family suspense/mystery drama。 However, the last half of the book was more interesting with some twist I didn’t expect。 Not much to say without spoiling the story。 I still think the three books could be resumed in two book or a longer one book。 3。8⭐️

Seawitch

Well I finished the St。 John trilogy。 The third book is a light beachy read。

Elena Dion

I loved this series!
